Christian
Hydrick is COO and Vice Chair of the
Board of Directors for Hygun Group, Inc. He started with the
firm as a research assistant and after graduating from the
University of Alabama with a degree in Business was chosen to
open the Los Angeles, CA recruiting office for Hygun Group.
After successfully establishing a West Coast presence, he was
promoted to Regional Vice President and expanded the region to
include the Bellevue, WA office. He was then promoted by the
Board of Directors to COO and relocated back to Corporate
Headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. where he was given the operational
responsibilities for the success of the largest, multi-million
dollar retainer in Hygun Group history. Thru all these
responsibilities, Christian has continued to maintain an active
retainer recruitment role, and while heading up the National
Land Development Desk his teams also have experience in
Environmental, Water/Wastewater, Water Resources and
Geotechnical. With the engineering talent pool continuing to
decline in numbers, Christian’s teams have continued to achieve
a placement rate of 97% on retainers.
While working at
Hygun Group he also built and ran a nationally ranked martial
arts school. Christian has taught/coached multiple AAU Jr.
Olympic Gold medal Tae Kwon Do champions and has been studying
martial arts for 24 years. He is also an instructor for a
women’s self defense system he and his father developed and have
done seminars on, across the country.
“The greatest
downfall for an employer in this industry today, is the belief
that there will always be talent available. So the urgency in
the hiring process when you identify the right person is not
necessary.” Christian Hydrick |
