Vice President Building Engineering:
A top Client's building engineering practice is expected to increase at an annual rate of approximately 20% which has resulted in the need for a strong, dynamic leader to maintain their success and champion further growth in new areas. This position oversees approximately 100 employees with a variety of backgrounds including engineers, architects, and drafters, and directly supervises several business unit leaders. The person selected will be a member of the upper management team. Significant travel will be required.
The successful candidate must possess all of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering • At least 5 years experience with client relations and business development including marketing, proposals, and interviewing; • At least 10 years of relevant experience managing an engineering firm, large and/or multiple departments within a firm, or branch office in the consulting industry. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: PE license; significant experience with renovation and/or new construction of building facilities; solid understanding of all disciplines involved in building design; experience as a member of top company management; experience supervising and mentoring employees; knowledge of and/or experience monitoring projects, budgets, and schedules; experience developing and executing business and/or strategic plans; knowledge of and/or experience with legal issues such as contracts, etc.
