Dan joined the United States Army after high school, graduating from the US Army School of Engineering with Honors. He proudly served as a Sergeant attached to the Americal Division in Vietnam. Continuing his engineering experience from the military, Dan furthered his education in Colorado and earned his degree in Sanitary Engineering. Dan spent time with Public Service Company of Colorado and as a Union negotiator for the Local IBEW, before becoming the City Manager for the newly formed City of Evergreen. Dan was then recruited to serve as National and International Director for a Geological Oil and Gas Exploration Service Company, assisting in the education and development of new technologies in exploration drilling.
Dan began his recruiting career with Management Recruiters International in the Corporate Banking business during the challenging Savings and Loan Crisis in the 1980's, assisting banking institutions rebuild their human capital need. After several years as one of the top billers and trainer for the MRI recruiting teams, Dan went back to his roots to focus on Engineering and established Hygun Group, Inc.
On a personal note Dan is an avid Martial Artist (7th Degree Black Belt, Korean Karate, 6th Degree Okinawan Karate and a Weapons Master) and has served as a National Chief Referee for the United States Amateur Athletics Union, Tae Kwon Do Associations and has gone on to develop a nationally recognized womens self defense course known as A.C.T. (Assailant Control Techniques) for women.
Christian Hydrick is COO and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Hygun Group, Inc. He started with the firm as a research assistant and after graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in Business was chosen to open the Los Angeles, CA recruiting office for Hygun Group. After successfully establishing a West Coast presence, he was promoted to Regional Vice President and expanded the region to include the Bellevue, WA office. He was then promoted by the Board of Directors to COO and relocated back to Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA where he was given the operational responsibilities for the success of the largest, multi-million dollar retainer in Hygun Group history. Through all these responsibilities, Christian has continued to maintain an active retainer recruitment role, and while heading up the National Land Development Desk his teams also have experience in Environmental, Water/Wastewater, Water Resources and Geotechnical. With the engineering talent pool continuing to decline in numbers, Christian’s teams have continued to achieve a placement rate of 97% on retainers.
While working at Hygun Group he also built and ran a nationally ranked martial arts school. Christian has taught/coached multiple AAU Jr. Olympic Gold medal Tae Kwon Do champions and has been studying martial arts for 24 years. He is also an instructor for a women’s self defense system he and his father developed and have done seminars on, across the country.

Ryan Goodman has been in Recruiting for over 15 years since his days at Iowa State. In 2003 Ryan was recruited by Hygun Group as a Senior Executive Recruiter for Federal Programs and International Infrastructure. His responsibilities include client management, business development, strategic planning, staff mentoring and development. His primary goal is to develop long term partnerships with his clients and candidates.
Ryan started his Executive Recruiting career right out of college by recruiting Engineering Contractors in the Midwest for an Engineering Contract Shop in Davenport. He later moved to Des Moines to start an Engineering Recruiting Division of a franchise for one of the top three Recruiting firms in the world. After several years in Des Moines, Ryan was recruited to Atlanta and went into the corporate arena as a Technical Recruiter for an Inc. 100 company. In 2003 Ryan was recruited back into the agency side of the business. This time to play a major role in a firm that specializes in strategic Retained Executive Searches in the Engineering & Science industry, Hygun Group, Inc. He graduated from Iowa State with a BS in History, a BS in Public Relations and from the University of Phoenix a MBA in E-Business.
Lisa Tobin is the Director of Human Services and comes to the Hygun Group with seventeen years of professional experience in executive administrative and financial support in various areas of business. Lisa continues to support C-level, senior-level and mid-level management personnel and previously supported in such fields as the construction, educational, franchise management, and medical industry. Her vast background in the support capacity has afforded her the opportunity to work within general business operations both on the human resource and financial support areas. She has been instrumental in streamlining the operations within these varied fields and has been successful in implementing financial controls and organizational protocols within the companies she has worked with during her career. Lisa Tobin is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a BS in Clothing, Textiles and Design.
John T. Hardin, Business Development Federal Programs, being a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Air Force, John T. Hardin brings his
twenty-seven years of military experience to the Hygun Group. While in the Navy he served as a
P-3 Air crewman and maintenance technician. During his time in the United States Air Force he
served as maintenance technician and flight line supervisor. As of April 5, 2011, he is a Retired
USAF Reserve as a Master Sergeant E-7.
Over the last 23 years, John T. Hardin has been involved in various multi-million dollar aerospace
projects with such companies as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and Rockwell Collins. He
has held various positions from reliability/maintainability, contracts, proposal teams, new business
capture teams, customer training, flight and maintenance trainer integration/test, technical
publications, flight test and subcontractor oversight.
For two years, John worked as a consultant in the nuclear power industry working with
front line supervision to identify barriers to improve productivity by identifying processes posing
barriers to performance and quality using Six Sigma, Lean, 5-S and other statistical models as
well as root cause analyses modeling.
John is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona, FL holding a BS in
Aeronautics/Minor in Management, AS in Aviation Maintenance Technology and a Type 65
Aviation Maintenance Certificate. John Hardin is presently pursuing a Masters in Management
from Chancellor University from The Jack Welch Management Institute.
